Mark your calendars, for the sneaker market is bustling with a new batch of kicks this season.
It’s raining sneakers this season with thunderous brands collaborating to kick away the blues. From old styles coming back to stylised renditions of previously released collections making an entry, watch out for these new kicks on the block this month.
1. Supreme x Vans Lampin and Sk8-Mid
Highlights: Integrated with a 12-wale corduroy uppers and croc-embossed suede. ‘Supreme’ branded on the heel in the Sk8Mid, while Lampin has the embellishment on its tongue.
Calendar Spotlight: June 23rd
The relationship between Supreme and Vans has found new footing this season. Previously collaborated to revamp Lampin in 2013 and Sk8-Mid last summer, Supreme transformed the less-noteworthy Lampins to an eminent brand and painted the Mids with a cheetah print. The brands are now melding corduroy and crocodile to give way to newer versions of the kicks, which will be available in contrasting colour schemes.
2. Todd Snyder x New Balance’s Dark and Stormy
Highlights: Premium fabric and Horween leather trim on the heels. Hues of deep ocean black and marine blues.

The collaboration between the menswear titan Todd Snyder and New Balance has rolled away with three sneakers of colourful splashes, named Dirty Martini, Sunset Pink, and Black and Tan. The association has just walked in with an inspired reimagination of New Balance’s 1983 shoes called the Dark and Stormy 998. Drinking in inspiration from his favourite cocktails, Snyder gushes about the “flavour contrasts and ombre hues” in this new design.
3. Virgil Abloh x Nike Air Presto Polar Opposites
Highlights: The recursive structuring is evident with the outer caging, Primeknit upper pattern, contrast stitching, and inside-out tongue on both. The original design features on black are coupled with the ice swoosh and the orange tab, signature plastic hangtag ‘AIR’ printed on the back mid-sole. The white part also includes a textured swoosh.
Calendar Spotlight: July 27th – 3rd August
As his seismic success found footing at the centre of the fashion world, Virgil Abloh continues to expand the ground of his Off-White collaborations. Previously partnered with Air Jordan 1 and Converse Chuck 70, the Nike Air Presto association is launching a new Polar Opposites pack. The eponymous shoes will be released in black and white colourways, with the Nike silhouette in the respective colours.
4. Levi’s x Nike Air Jordan IV Black and White Denim Pack
Highlights: Upper is fitted with denim along with covered in a standard wash, reverse denim material on liner and insole, gum on the outsole, revamped Levi’s Two Horses patch, and red Levi’s tag.
Calendar Spotlight: June 30th
The 10-year long collaboration between the two brands is being sportily celebrated with the release of the Levi’s x Air Jordan IV collection in 2008. Continuing the fiery kicks already in the collection, the brands are releasing the Air Jordan IVs in black and white, with everything else essentially the same. The denim upper is slated to be done in black, with rumours surfacing of a white colourway as well.
