Celebrate International Beer Day With These Beer-Based Cocktails!

It’s International Beer Day and that gives us another reason to guzzle the drink down—not that one is needed. To commemorate the day, we’ve ‘hopped’ around to get you other ways of drinking it, because beer works incredibly well in cocktails. From a simple shandy to experimenting with beer and coffee, we’ve got you covered.

1 cup lemon juice

1 cup triple sec

Keep the beer in a pitcher, and mix it with the lemon juice and triple sec. Serve chilled.

One bottle stout beer
25ml espresso, chilled

Mix the kahlua and espresso, and refrigerate the mixture until adequately chilled. Pour into the beer for a caffeinated treat.

½ pint lager

½ pint stout

It’s the simplest recipe, to be honest. First, pour the lager into a tall glass. Then, and this is where you want to pay attention if you want the aesthetic value of the drink to come through, top the lager off with the stout by pouring it over the back of a spoon.
